SNAP2PLACE — BETA VERSION
Final V1 Beta version — 24 September 2026
These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) define the conditions for accessing and using the SNAP2PLACE mobile application in its beta version.
By using SNAP2PLACE, the user accepts these Terms and acknowledges having read the Privacy Policy.

2. Purpose of SNAP2PLACE
SNAP2PLACE allows the user to select screenshots corresponding in particular to places, restaurants, trips, events, shops, activities or other inspirations, in order to transform them into structured and geolocated information that may later be found and reactivated.
SNAP2PLACE is an intention reactivation engine designed to reconnect the user’s inspirations with real life.
The inspirations processed by SNAP2PLACE come from content selected by the user. SNAP2PLACE is not intended to create or impose desires on the user.
3. Beta version
The user acknowledges that they are accessing a beta version of SNAP2PLACE.
This version is intended in particular to test the service under real-life conditions, identify possible malfunctions and enable its gradual improvement through feedback from Beta Explorers.
During this period, certain features may evolve, be modified, added, temporarily unavailable or removed.
The beta may also contain errors, bugs, compatibility issues or interruptions.
SNAP2PLACE does not guarantee permanent or uninterrupted availability of the service during this phase.
4. Beta Explorers
Users taking part in this testing phase may be referred to as “Beta Explorers”.
Access to the beta is free of charge.
Beta Explorers may send SNAP2PLACE bug reports, comments, impressions, suggestions or ideas for improvement. Such feedback is encouraged but is not mandatory.
SNAP2PLACE may modify or end the beta program.
Participation in the beta does not create any automatic paid subscription and does not require the Beta Explorer to subsequently subscribe to a commercial offer.
5. Registration and user account
Use of SNAP2PLACE requires the creation of an account using the authentication system offered by the application.
V1 uses, in particular, Passkey authentication.
The registration process may request a first name and an email address, in particular to identify the Beta Explorer, enable the account to operate and facilitate exchanges related to the beta.
The user may also choose, on an optional basis, to receive news from SNAP2PLACE.
Registration includes acceptance of these Terms and acknowledgement of the Privacy Policy.
SNAP2PLACE does not ask the user to declare their age when registering for the beta.
6. Use of screenshots
SNAP2PLACE allows the user to select the screenshots or images they wish to transform into inspirations.
Only images explicitly selected by the user are sent to and processed by SNAP2PLACE.
SNAP2PLACE does not automatically analyse the user’s entire photo library.
The user remains in control of the content they choose to provide to the service.
In the V1 beta, SNAP2PLACE does not automatically delete the original screenshot from the phone’s photo library after import.
7. Rights to imported content
Importing a screenshot into SNAP2PLACE does not transfer any ownership rights to SNAP2PLACE.
The user retains the rights they hold in their own content.
However, certain elements appearing in a screenshot may belong to third parties, including photographs, videos, trademarks, texts, social media posts or other protected content.
The user undertakes to use SNAP2PLACE in compliance with third-party rights and applicable law.
The user authorises SNAP2PLACE to carry out on the content they select the technical processing necessary for operation of the service.
8. Automated analysis and artificial intelligence
SNAP2PLACE uses automated processing and artificial intelligence technologies in particular to analyse selected screenshots, recognise certain information, identify or search for a place and structure an inspiration.
Such processing may rely on technologies and services provided by third parties.
Automatically generated results may contain errors, approximations, omissions or incorrect identifications.
SNAP2PLACE therefore does not guarantee that a screenshot will always be recognised or that identified information will always be accurate.
9. Recognition failure and correction
Where a screenshot does not allow a place to be identified sufficiently, SNAP2PLACE may ask the user for additional information.
Mechanisms allowing a place to be corrected or repositioned may also be offered.
The user is encouraged to verify important information before taking any real-life action based on information proposed by SNAP2PLACE.
10. Inspirations and synchronisation
When a screenshot is processed, SNAP2PLACE may create an inspiration containing various information relating to the identified place.
The nature and amount of this information may vary depending on the content of the screenshot and the information available.
Inspirations are synchronised with the user’s account and are therefore not stored exclusively on the phone used to create them.
The selected screenshot may also be retained by SNAP2PLACE to enable operation of the service.
The conditions governing processing and retention of data are detailed in the Privacy Policy.
11. Location
Certain SNAP2PLACE features use the device’s location in order to contextualise inspirations and enable their reactivation when the user is in a relevant geographical area.
The user’s location used for this purpose is not transmitted to the SNAP2PLACE backend.
Use of location depends on the permissions granted by the user and the settings of their phone.
The user can manage these permissions from the settings of their operating system.
12. Proximity reactivations and notifications
When a saved inspiration becomes relevant again because of the user’s geographical proximity, SNAP2PLACE may remind the user of it, in particular by means of a notification.
However, SNAP2PLACE does not guarantee that a reactivation or notification will be triggered every time the user passes near an inspiration.
This operation depends in particular on the phone, the operating system, the permissions granted by the user and resource or battery optimisation mechanisms.
13. Actions on an inspiration
Different actions may be offered to the user.
Close
The cross closes the card or screen being displayed.
This action does not delete the inspiration. It remains saved and may be reactivated later.
Temporarily disable
Where a temporary disable option is offered, it allows the user to stop being prompted for that inspiration for a time without deleting it.
GO
The GO button allows the user to express their intention to take action and, in V1, in particular to access directions to the relevant place.
Using GO does not necessarily mean that the user actually went to the place or experienced it.
No longer inspires me
The “No longer inspires me” action means that the user no longer wishes to keep the inspiration.
It results in the inspiration being deleted from SNAP2PLACE, disappearing from the map and no longer being reactivated in the future.
The arrangements for deleting data associated with the inspiration are specified in the Privacy Policy.
14. Third-party services and information
Certain SNAP2PLACE features rely on technologies, infrastructure, data or services provided by third parties.
These may include services enabling automated analysis, recognition or enrichment of a place, mapping, hosting, authentication, notifications or the technical operation of the application.
The providers and technologies used may change as the service evolves.
Information originating from third-party services, including addresses, opening hours, locations or information relating to an establishment, may be incomplete, inaccurate or outdated.
SNAP2PLACE does not guarantee their permanent accuracy.
15. Directions and external services
The GO function may open an external mapping or directions service.
This service is not provided by SNAP2PLACE and may be subject to its own terms of use and privacy policies.
SNAP2PLACE is not responsible for the operation of the third-party service or for any relationship that may be established between that service and the user.
16. Acceptable use
The user undertakes to use SNAP2PLACE in accordance with its intended purpose, these Terms and applicable law.
fraudulent or unlawful uses;
attempts to gain unauthorised access to systems or accounts;
circumvention of security measures;
actions intended to disrupt or compromise operation of the service;
unauthorised automated or bulk extraction of data;
intentional and repeated use of the service to process content that is manifestly incompatible with its intended purpose or prohibited by law.
17. Content that may be refused
SNAP2PLACE is intended to process screenshots corresponding to inspirations and intentions compatible with the purpose of the service.
Certain content that is manifestly unlawful, sexually explicit or pornographic, or depicts certain forms of violence, may be refused by the processing mechanisms.
Where a screenshot cannot be processed, the user may be informed.
As automated mechanisms may themselves make mistakes, a one-off refusal to process content does not automatically result in suspension or closure of the account.
18. Suspension or closure of an account
In the event of a breach of these Terms, fraud, misuse of the service, a threat to its security or manifestly unlawful behaviour, SNAP2PLACE may take measures proportionate to the situation.
Such measures may include a warning, temporary restriction, suspension or, where circumstances justify it, closure of the account.
Immediate action may be taken where necessary for the security of the service, its users or third parties.
Expressing a critical or negative opinion about SNAP2PLACE does not, in itself, constitute a breach of these Terms.
19. Sharing the beta experience
The SNAP2PLACE beta is not subject to a general confidentiality obligation.
The Beta Explorer may share their experience, in particular on social media, publish screenshots or videos of their use and freely express their opinion, subject to respecting third-party rights and applicable law.
At the same time, SNAP2PLACE may offer private spaces for bug reports and exchanges directly related to improving the service.
20. Feedback and suggestions
Beta Explorers may send SNAP2PLACE comments, ideas, suggestions and reports of malfunctions.
SNAP2PLACE may use this feedback to understand usage, correct the service and guide its development.
Submitting feedback does not, by itself, transfer to SNAP2PLACE any intellectual property rights that may be held by its author.
21. User publications
The spontaneous publication by a user of a photograph, video, testimonial or other content relating to their SNAP2PLACE experience does not automatically grant SNAP2PLACE a general right to reuse that content.
Where authorisation is required to reuse a user publication in its own communications, SNAP2PLACE will request the corresponding permission.
22. SNAP2PLACE intellectual property
The elements making up SNAP2PLACE that are protected by intellectual property rights remain the property of their respective rights holders.
This includes, where protectable, the SNAP2PLACE name, its visual identity, logo, interfaces, texts, graphic elements, software, code and other creations forming part of the service.
Access to the beta does not grant the user any ownership rights in these elements.
Any unauthorised reproduction, distribution or exploitation exceeding the rights granted by law or these Terms is prohibited.
23. Service availability
SNAP2PLACE uses reasonable means necessary for operation of the beta.
Given its experimental nature, the service may be interrupted or affected in particular by maintenance, updates, bugs, technical incidents, product changes or the unavailability of a third-party service.
No permanent 24-hour-a-day, 7-day-a-week availability is guaranteed during the beta.
24. Service limitations
In particular, SNAP2PLACE does not guarantee:
that a screenshot will always be recognised;
that the place identified will always be the correct one;
that available information will always be accurate or up to date;
that an inspiration will always be reactivated;
that a notification will be triggered every time the user passes nearby;
that a reactivation will occur at the ideal time;
that an establishment will be open, accessible or available;
that an action initiated by the user will achieve the desired result.
SNAP2PLACE is a tool designed to assist with reactivating intentions.
The user remains free to decide whether or not to take action.
25. Liability
The user remains responsible for their decisions and for how they use the information provided by SNAP2PLACE.
In particular, it is the user’s responsibility to verify important information before travelling, making a reservation, making a purchase or taking any other action.
SNAP2PLACE may not be held liable for consequences resulting from inaccurate or outdated information originating from a third-party service, incorrect automated identification or the unavailability of a third-party service, except where such liability arises from a legal obligation that cannot be excluded.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit mandatory rights granted to the user by law.
26. Minor users
SNAP2PLACE may be used by minors.
The beta version does not include a specific mechanism for declaring or verifying age during registration.
Where authorisation or the involvement of a holder of parental responsibility is required by applicable law, use of the service and the relevant features must take place within that framework.
Particular attention is paid to protecting the personal data of minor users. Information on the processing of their data is provided in the Privacy Policy.
In France, the rules applicable to a minor’s consent to the processing of their data vary in particular according to their age, the purpose of the processing and the legal basis used. The age threshold of 15 provided for by the French Data Protection Act does not constitute a general “digital age of majority” from which the minor’s contractual capacity can automatically be inferred. 27. Personal data
Use of SNAP2PLACE involves the processing of personal data.
The categories of data concerned, the purposes of processing, the legal bases, recipients, retention periods and users’ rights are presented in the SNAP2PLACE Privacy Policy.
Permissions granted to the application, in particular for photos, notifications or location, can be managed from the phone’s settings.
Where consent is the legal basis for processing concerning a minor in connection with an online service, specific rules apply; in France, a minor aged 15 or over may, in the situations provided for by law, consent on their own, whereas below the age of 15 the joint consent provided for by law may be required. (https://www.cnil.fr/fr/les-bases-legales/consentement?utm_source=chatgpt.com)
28. Account deletion
The user may delete their account from SNAP2PLACE.
Deleting the account results in the deletion of all the user’s personal data associated with the account.
No specific deletion period is provided for.
Information relating to the exercise of rights concerning personal data is specified in the Privacy Policy.
29. Evolution and end of the beta
SNAP2PLACE may evolve the beta version in particular to improve the service, correct malfunctions or test new features.
SNAP2PLACE may also suspend or end the beta.
Any duration or date communicated regarding a testing phase or future version constitutes a provisional schedule and does not guarantee a specific public launch date.
30. Evolution towards a commercial offer
Participation in the beta does not constitute subscription to a future commercial offer.
If SNAP2PLACE subsequently offers paid features or services, their characteristics, prices and conditions will be communicated to the user before any subscription.
Where necessary, the applicable commercial conditions will be set out in separate Terms and Conditions of Sale.
No paid subscription is entered into automatically solely as a result of participation in the beta.
31. Changes to the Terms
SNAP2PLACE may amend these Terms in particular to take account of changes to the service, new features or the applicable legal framework.
Where changes significantly affect the user’s rights or obligations, the user will be informed in an appropriate manner.
The applicable version is the version made available to the user at the time they use the service, subject to any applicable mandatory rules.
32. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by French law, subject to any mandatory provisions that may apply to the user.
In the event of a difficulty concerning use of SNAP2PLACE, the user is invited to contact SNAP2PLACE first in order to seek an amicable solution.
If no amicable solution is reached, the applicable legal rules determine the competent court.
